A TRAIN conductor was assaulted after confiscating an expired travel pass.

The conductor was pushed in the chest and fell into luggage racks after the teenager confronted him at Halifax train station.
Earlier, the conductor had ap-proached the youth, who was with a friend, and asked to see his ticket.
The offender flashed a travel pass at him. The conductor asked to see it and noticed it had expired. He put it in his pocket.
On arrival at Halifax railway station, the conductor waited for the youths to disembark before attempting to get off the train but the youth jumped back on to the train and assaulted him.
He then reached into the conductor’s pocket and stole the pass.
It happened on the 5.07pm York to Blackpool Northern Rail service, on Wedne-sday October 31, at 6.25pm. The youths got on the train at Bradford Interchange.
The suspect is an Asian male, aged 17-19, about 5ft 9ins. He had a Yorkshire accent and wore a black/grey camouflage jacket with a hood and a peaked cap.
