A MAN was stabbed as he tried to fight off four knife-wielding thugs who hunted him down when he got off a bus.

The 47-year-old victim was left with a wound to the shoulder after getting off a 185 bus in Camberwell on November 18. Four men followed him down John Ruskin Street before attacking him at 7.15pm. They grabbed the victim from behind and in the ensuing struggle he was injured. Nothing was stolen.

The four men were black and aged in their late teens to early 20s. One suspect is 6ft 2in and was wearing a dark hoodie with dark jeans.

Another was also wearing a dark hoodie and the other two were wearing dark clothing.

Detective Sergeant Russell Samwell said: “If anyone saw the four men described hanging around the Walworth Road and John Ruskin Street area at this time please get in touch. “This is an unprovoked attack and these men are obviously very dangerous.”
