A burglar who broke into 20 mosques to target charity collection boxes has been jailed for three years.

Kamal Shkozzadhe, 34, targeted the places of worship to fund a £300-a-day drug addiction. Shkozzadhe pleaded guilty to three offences of burglary and asked for 17 similar offences to be taken into consideration at Leeds Crown Court.

Louise Pryke, prosecuting, said Shkozzadhe was caught after he broke into a mosque of Stratford Street, Beeston, on April 27 this year.
