Police have launched an investigation in Swansea after a woman was seriously sexually assaulted and another was approached nearby 24 hours later.

The sexual assault took place between 01:00 and 05:00 BST on Sunday in the Neath Road area.

The second incident happened at around 04:20 BST on Monday when a man made off on foot after approaching a woman in the Harrington Street area.

South Wales Police are linking the two incidents.

They say suspect of Sunday’s incident is described as being a man of Asian appearance, aged in his 20s, with short black hair and around 5ft 6in tall. He was wearing dark-coloured clothing.
