A former Leicestershire county cricketer has been jailed for three years for dealing in crack cocaine.

Olson Tzuan Murrain (30), of Everest Court, St Matthew’s, Leicester, pleaded guilty at Leicester Crown Court to four offences of supplying the Class A drug in the city centre earlier this year.

The court heard that Murrain was caught during an undercover police sting, called Operation Nutmeg, in which an officer contacted him and obtained wraps of the drug on four occasions during February and March.

On two occasions, Murrain, who played for Leicestershire twice in the 2002 Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy, took along a child in a pushchair to deflect attention from his activities.
