Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery on Friday.

At about 6.45pm, a 44-year-old man carrying an iPad under his arm was walking in Linford Wood when he saw a man who appeared to be fixing his bike.

As he walked past, the victim felt his iPad being grabbed at. He managed to keep hold of the iPad and turned to face the offender, who was a different man to the one fixing the bike.

The victim kicked out at the offender, who was holding a screwdriver, and he ran off towards the man fixing the bike.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sam Reynolds, of Milton Keynes CID, said: “The victim believes the two men were together and there could also have been a third man involved. Thankfully the victim was not harmed during the incident.”

The man with the screwdriver was black with a dark complexion, average build, 4ft 11ins, about 15 or 16 years old, with receding hair and acne on his face, which is described as elongated with a protruding jaw.
