A NEWPORT teenager who committed a robbery while serving a community order for two counts of sexual assault was sentenced to a 24-month detention and training order.

Yassar Hussain, 17, of Duckpool Road, had earlier pleaded guilty to the robbery of a 13-year-old boy following an incident in John Frost Square in August last year.

Prosecuting at Cardiff Crown Court, David Pugh said Hussain was with another man when he approached the teenager who was with friends demanding the boy’s phone.
