A convicted rapist who ­kidnapped and throttled a woman is ­now working for the NHS.

Solomon Beckford, who spent 12 years in jail, is an ambulance station manager at a large hospital trust.

Beckford, 35, is in charge of ­arranging patients’ journeys to ­hospital appointments in ­London. He has access to ­personal and medical details of hundreds of thousands of ­patients.

He also deals with complaints, visiting hospitals to speak to ­patients unhappy with their ­treatment by ambulance staff.
