Thames Valley Police is investigating after a woman was assaulted in Oxford during the early hours of yesterday morning (21/6).

The woman, aged 20, was in Leopold Street at around 2.20am when a man threatened her with a knife, before pulling her into the entrance of the churchyard, where she fell and screamed for help. The man then ran off through the churchyard.

The woman suffered grazing when she fell, but was otherwise uninjured. The man did not steal any of her possessions.

The man is described as a dark-skinned black male in his early twenties, more than 6ft, of muscular build, with squared shoulders, wearing dark clothing.
