A pervert brutally raped a woman in the street as she walked home from a night out in a Kent town, a court heard.

Drunk Marius Antananvicius grabbed the victim by the neck in the early hours, threw her to the ground and violated her.

Jailing the 25-year-old Lithuanian for four years eight months, a judge said the offence was prolonged and vicious and must have been “horrendous and terrifying”.

Under an extended sentence for public protection, Antananvicius, of no fixed address, will be on licence for a further three years.
