RAPIST Marcin Szwedek has been jailed after subjecting his victim to a ‘terrifying’ seven-hour ordeal.

The Polish national was today starting a 16-year sentence after a jury convicted him of four counts of rape.

Liverpool Crown Court heard how 31-year-old Szwedek drove his victim from a house in Crewe to a field, where he repeatedly raped her.

She only managed to escape and raise the alarm after he fell asleep in his car, where police later found him.

Witnesses reported how the woman had tried to get out of Szwedek’s car as he drove at high speed through Crewe on the evening of February 7.

At one point she was dragged along the road while hanging from the open passenger door.
