Police are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were robbed near to Belgrave Gate flyover.

The incident happened at around 4pm yesterday (Thursday August 9, 2012) at the roundabout underneath Belgrave Flyover near to Sainsbury’s where Dysart Way and Abbey Park Road join Belgrave Road.

The two 14-year-old boys were playing on their bikes when they were approached by two youths. One of them took the bikes from one of the boys whilst the other threatened them with a glass bottle.

Both suspects rode off city bound along Belgrave Gate.

The stolen bikes are a cream BMX Harro bike which had red handlebars and white wall tyres. The other bike is a black BWX Stereo Wire bike with purple stickers on it and purple handle bars and wheel hubs.

One of the suspects is of Asian appearance, about 17-years-old, around 6ft and of skinny build. He had a pointy nose, facial stubble and was wearing a grey tracksuit with a red Adidas strip down the arms and legs. The second is described as of Asian appearance, around 15-years-old, medium to stocky build with short black hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and grey jogging bottoms.
