A traffic warden was kicked in the head during an assault in Braunstone Gate, Leicester.

Three men walked towards the traffic warden and one of them spat at him and a second from the group kicked him in the head, causing him to fall to the ground.

The victim received injuries to his face and head and was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary for treatment.

After the attack the three men walked away towards Tesco.

They are described as white of Eastern European appearance and aged in their late 20s to early 30s.
