Detectives, hunting “heartless” thieves who conned a 92-year-old man out of his money, today released images of two suspects.
The pair tricked their way into their victim’s home by pretending to be from an electricity company, then stole hundreds of pounds from him.
He was left extremely upset and detectives have condemned the villains responsible. They have now released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to in connection with the ‘bogus official’ burglary.
A man, purporting to be from an electricity company, attended the pensioner’s home, in Lennon Drive, Girlington , Bradford. As the victim showed him the electric meter, a second suspect appeared in the living room.
Both then made off with his wallet, pension card and hundreds of pounds in cash. Detective Sergeant Colman Coyne, of Bradford South CID, said: “This was a particularly heartless offence on a vulnerable member of the community who has been left extremely upset by the whole experience…..
….The first man who knocked on the door is described as Asian, about 30, 5ft 9inl and of slim build. The second man is also said to be Asian.
