Detectives are hunting a gang who robbed a 70-year-old man in Huddersfield.

The pensioner was asleep in the living room of his home on Stutley Grove in Bradley when he was woken by the sound of a disturbance in his kitchen.

When he went to investigate, he was confronted by three men who had broken into the kitchen through a window.

He was grabbed and forced into the living room while the suspects searched the house, leaving with two wooden boxes that police say contained nothing of value.

The victim received minor injuries during the incident.

He described the suspects as three asian or mixed-race men in their 20s. One was around 5ft 6ins tall, thin and with a small moustache.
