A man was jailed yesterday for killing a man with a metal pole outside KFC in Brixton last year.
Monclair Bartley, 26, was sentenced to nine years for the manslaughter of Alper Pasha, 45, in Brixton Road.
After an argument between two groups, Bartley chased the victim across the road and struck him with a pole grabbed from the back of a plumber’s van.
He was knocked unconscious and taken to hospital where he died four days later in May 2011.
A post mortem examination gave the cause of death as multiple organ failure and pneumonia resulting from a serious head injury.
