Police are appealing for information after a 25-year-old woman was robbed of her necklace in Canon Street, Leicester.

The incident happened at about 4.15pm on Friday September 28, near to the junction with Melton Road, when a man approached the victim, pulled her yellow gold chain from her neck and pushed her to the ground.

The suspect then ran away towards Portman Road.

The suspect has been described as being black, of slim build, approximately 6’3” tall with a narrow or pointed shaped face. He was clean shaven with a clear complexion and had black untidy hair which could be seen under his hood. He was wearing a light grey hooded tracksuit top with a zip down the front.
