AN elderly man was attacked and hit over the head with a crowbar when two men forced their way into his home to steal cash and jewellery.

The incident took place at 6.25pm on Wednesday, December 5, but police say they have only released details after officers had first completed investigations into the items stolen.

The victim, a man in his seventies, was alone at home in Bookerhill Road, Booker when the two offenders knocked at his door.

When he answered they forced their way in, assaulting the elderly man by hitting him on the head with a crowbar. They then forced him to open his safe and stole the contents……

…..The first intruder is described as black, 5ft 6ins, stocky and dressed in black clothing and a woollen hat with a scarf covering much of his face.

The second man is described as black, around 6ft, thinner and dressed in similar clothing.
