Police Officers from the joint Transport for London and Metropolitan Police Service Safer Transport Command Workplace Violence Unit are appealing for help in identifying a man following an assault on a bus driver in Wandsworth.
The incident occurred on Friday 5 October 2012 at about 11:30pm on a route 264 bus in Tooting High Street SW17. A group of youths boarded the bus, but only two of the group produced Oyster Cards. The driver challenged the group, who all alighted the bus. The suspect re-boarded and proceeded to spray a liquid at the driver through the holes in the protective screen before making off.
The driver did not require medical treatment.
The suspect is described as a black teenager, wearing a black jacket, hooded jumper and black trousers.
