Myles-Joseph-Daay_Shalon_alTwo men who stabbed and robbed a man in broad daylight have been sentenced to a total of 14 years behind bars.

Myles Joseph-Daay, 22, of Thrupp Close in Mitcham, and Shalon Albert, 29, of Vectis Road, both received seven years for their part in a violent robbery on July 24, 2012.

The attack happened in Moore Close, Mitcham, at 4.30pm when a man, who had had a brief conversation with the two, was pulled into a communal area at the entrance to a block of flats, pushed to the floor and repeatedly punched and kicked.

The victim managed to get to his feet, at which point one of the men pulled out a knife and tried to stab the man in the stomach, but the victim fought back and instead was wounded in the arm.
