A 25-year-old man has been sentenced to over five years in prison for his part in an armed robbery at a High Wycombe store earlier in the year.

Bilal Ahmed, from Miersfield, High Wycombe, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and one count of possession of a class A drug at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday (16/7). He was sentenced to five years and two months imprisonment for the robbery and 12 months for the drugs offence, to be served concurrently.

At just after 10pm on 7 April, Bilal and his accomplice entered Central News Market on Lane End Road, High Wycombe, with their faces covered.
