forest_gate_robberyA 24-year-old man was updating his Oyster card at the ticket machine around 7pm on Saturday February 2 when another man approached him from behind.

He grabbed the victim’s neck in a sleeper hold, and dragged him to the ground, stealing his mobile phone and wallet.

The brave young victim followed the suspect on to a London-bound train and asked for his possessions back but the man walked off into another carriage and left the train.

British Transport Police released CCTV images on Monday from the Greater Anglia train and they are urging anyone who recognises the man to come forward.

A 73-YEAR-OLD man was threatened with a knife during a robbery in a Bletchley alleyway on Sunday.

At around 4pm he was walking down an alley way off Kincardine Drive leading to Ayr Way when he was approached by three men on the grass area in between Kincardine Drive and Pebbles Way.

They asked how he was in a friendly manner then crowded around him before one of the men pulled out a knife from his right wrist band and pointed it towards him.

A second man then took £140 cash from his pocket, whilst the man with the knife told him to remove his two rings which he did.

The offenders then walked back towards the grass area next to Pebbles Place.

The men are all black.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a 17-year-old boy was robbed in Slough on Tuesday (5/2).

At 8am the victim was walking along an alleyway between Nixey Close and Lascelles Park when a man stopped him and asked for the time. The victim did not have a watch but the offender asked him to check on his phone. No knife was seen but the offender threatened to stab the victim and stole his iPod and money. The victim was then told to carry on walking and not to look back while the offender left the scene.

The offender is an Asian man, in his mid twenties, slim, 5ft 9ins possibly with a goatee beard and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing grey cotton jogging bottoms and a dark blue shiny hooded raincoat that stopped at the waist. He wore the hood on the coat up with the draw strings pulled tightly.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a robbery at a building society in Bletchley.

The incident occurred at the Nationwide Building Society in Queensway, Bletchley, at about 5.30pm on Tuesday (05/02).

Three offenders tied up two members of staff with duct tape, before taking an amount of cash.

The offenders, who are black and were wearing balaclavas and boiler suits, then left the bank via the rear doors.

Myles-Joseph-Daay_Shalon_alTwo men who stabbed and robbed a man in broad daylight have been sentenced to a total of 14 years behind bars.

Myles Joseph-Daay, 22, of Thrupp Close in Mitcham, and Shalon Albert, 29, of Vectis Road, both received seven years for their part in a violent robbery on July 24, 2012.

The attack happened in Moore Close, Mitcham, at 4.30pm when a man, who had had a brief conversation with the two, was pulled into a communal area at the entrance to a block of flats, pushed to the floor and repeatedly punched and kicked.

The victim managed to get to his feet, at which point one of the men pulled out a knife and tried to stab the man in the stomach, but the victim fought back and instead was wounded in the arm.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was subjected to an attempted robbery as he walked home from work in Clitheroe on Tuesday.

The incident took place at around 8-15 p.m. as the 34-year-old victim was walking home along Faraday Avenue and was approached by three young men.

One of the men demanded his mobile phone, money and cards. The victim refused and one of the men then proceeded to hit him with a pole or stick. The victim shouted for help and all three men then ran away empty- handed.

The main offender is described as black or Asian, aged around 17 or 18 years old and 5ft. 8in. tall with a goatee beard. He was wearing a baseball cap. His accomplices are described as white and around 5ft. 10in. tall.

A PENSIONER was subjected to a frightening experience when she was dragged to the floor by a would-be robber.

The attempted robbery took place at 7-30pm on Sunday when the 69-year-old woman was walking along Nicholl Street in the Duke Bar area of Burnley.

Police said a man approached her from behind and grabbed at her shoulder bag knocking her to the floor. She held onto the bag and was dragged along the floor before the man ran off.

Witnesses reported seeing a young Asian man carry out the attempted robbery before running off.

Momin-Hassan-and-Tajwar-ShaBrave members of the public have been praised for chasing and capturing two teenagers who attempted to rob a jewellery store in Edgware.

The individuals chased down Momin Hassan, 17, and Tajwar Shah, 16, after they smashed the window of Vinsons Jewellery Store and then held them until police arrived.

Hassan, of Devonshire Road, Mill Hill, was yesterday given a four-year sentence while Shah, of St Edmunds Drive, Stanmore, was locked up for three-and-a-half years at Wood Green Crown Court.

They both pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to robbery and possession of an imitation firearm. Hassan also pleaded guilty to possession of a section 5 firearm – a stun gun.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was robbed in Fishermead, Milton Keynes.

At 5pm on Sunday (27/1) the victim was standing with friends when he was approached by a group of boys. He was threatened and had his pockets searched.

The offenders then left empty handed.

The victim did not suffer any injuries.

The offenders were all black teenagers. The first offender is around 15 years-of-age, slim and 5ft 9ins.  He was wearing a light grey hooded top with the hood up and tied under the chin and black jogging bottoms.

A gang of young thugs carried out three robberies in three days on the same street.

The group targeted their victims in Hutchinson Walk, St Peter’s, Leicester, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Detectives believe the victims, aged 28, 34 and 38, were targeted for their mobile phones.

Two were threatened and hit before the thugs searched their pockets and grabbed their handsets.

However, one of the victims managed to run away before his phone could be taken.

The gang members are black and thought to be aged between 16 and 20.
